2006년 4월 8일 com/net 도메인의 최상위 관리기구인 VeriSign에서 다국어도메인 등록정책의 일부가 아래와 같이 변경됨을 안내드립니다. ■ 다국어도메인 등록정책 변경사항
■ VeriSign 공지사항 요약 2006년 4월 8일, 도메인명에 허용되는 IDN(다국어도메인)의 캐릭터셋의 혼용과 관련하여 정책의 일부가 변경되었습니다. 라틴어와 키릴알파벳 캐릭터셋의 혼용은 기존에도 불가하였으나, 앞으로는 일본어를 제외한 모든 언어의 혼용이 불가능해집니다. ※ 아래 VeriSign의 공지사항은 RegistRar에게만 공지된 내용인 관계로 고객님들이 직접 원문조회를 할 수가 없음에 대하여 양해해 주시기 바랍니다. ■ VeriSign 공지사항 원문 (Advisory: EPP INFO, Auth Info on EPP Transfers and IDN Commingle Updates) 4) IDN Commingle On April 8th, 2006 there will be a modification to the way IDNs permit characters to commingle within a single domain. As you are aware, attempted registrations that try and combine characters from the Latin script and characters from the Cyrillic script already fail. This will be extended to all script combinations unless expressly permitted within a languages table such as Japanese where characters from the Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji scripts are permitted.
